Kenneth P. Mahon

is a managing member of the firm concentrating in Trust and Estates, which involves lifetime and post-mortem planning. He also handles estate administration and estate litigation.
Lifetime planning includes the drafting of wills, trusts, powers of attorneys, health care proxies and other advance directives and may involve estate tax planning, elder law, asset protection planning and business succession planning.
While effective planning and careful foresight minimizes problems, at times disagreements are inevitable even in the most carefully planned estates. Ken’s litigation practice covers all Surrogate’s Courts in the Long Island, New York City and southern New York regions. He has litigated on behalf of the Public Administrator of Nassau County and has handled complex estate litigation and administration issues under varied and unique situations for over 35 years, including kinship matters.

Ken received his B.A. degree from St. Lawrence University and his J.D. degree from St. John's University School of Law. In addition, he attended the Amerika Institute in Vienna, Austria, and speaks German and studied Russian. He is admitted to practice law in the States of New York and Florida, and to the United States District Courts, Eastern and Southern Districts.
